Assessment
Assessment is the general name for the compilation and assessment of proof of the learning of a pupil. It is integral and has many functions for teaching and learning. Assessment may increase the involvement and motivation of students, particularly when it involves contact with teachers, other students and a variety of resources. NSW syllabuses encourage an integrated instruction, learning and evaluation approach. To develop school-based evaluation systems, schools use syllabuses, evaluation and reporting materials and Assessment Qualification and Test (ACE) criteria.
